Sharif Network Security Center (NSC)

Network Security Center (NSC) founded initially as a development laboratory to develop a security appliance in the Department of Computer Engineering, Sharif University of Technology, in 1999. In parallel to the activity, M.Sc. and B.Sc. theses were also assigned to the department students and gradually research projects overcame the industrial projects.

During last years, more than 50 students at different degrees experienced security protocols, softwares, vulnerabilities, and tools as their final projects, workshops, and as their part-time activities. Currently, a group of Ph.D students, M.Sc. students, and B.Sc. students are investigating mainly on vulnerability analysis, access control, and intrusion detection systems. Another group of students are also investigating reconfiguration and dynamicity in pervasive computing environments.

Having more than 40 publications in year 2005, shows that NSC is a very good carrier for students and researchers to promote their security knowledge and evaluate their brilliant ideas.
